I’m here to talk about the challenges, the hurdles, those ‘nothing goes right’ days and the set backs that jump in your way unexpectedly.  You may even feel like that ‘black cloud’ hanging over your head seems to have your name on it.  If a particular topic of the day here doesn’t suit you or doesn’t speak to you, that’s fine, maybe tomorrows topic will seem more interesting to your issues in your life.  Why, because I have been through a lifetime of rock bottom challenges, and I want to share how you can crawl back up successfully.

Today I would like to talk about being so overcome with discouragement that it’s effecting your daily life.  You can’t think straight, you get overwhelmed with daily tasks of paying the bills, rent/mortgage, utilities, and most of the time you don’t even want to get out of bed.  You’re at the point of: “I just don’t want to go there”……

Some folks will look at this avoidance as denial.  Well, yes and no.  What is really going on is you really don’t know where to start because you are so overwhelmed and smothered within your low emotional state that you cannot sort out any priorities.  You just can’t find your way out of the fog.

So, let me give you just 3 things to think about, which may be 2 more than you want to see, but you’ll have them for later as the fog clears:

 WRITE

Just write out your feelings.  You have emotions trapped inside of you and they are just increasing your level of being ‘down and discouraged’.  When you get them out by writing them down, you actually release that internal pressure you are feeling.

Write about what is exactly that’s got you down.  For example: write about your grief, loss, stress, anger, confusion, or anything else that’s bothering you.

SURROUND

You need to surround yourself with positives.  Fill your life with positives: positive uplifting music, positive books, positive stories in books, television documentaries, and positive people.  Stay away form all negatives: news reports, negative music, negative television, negative books, and certainly negative people.

Positives will initially distract you from your overwhelming feelings.  Positives will them help you feel better and as you start feeling better, your ‘down’ emotions and discouragement with start to lose it’s grip inside of you.

LISTEN

Start listening to the way you talk to yourself.  If you find you’re saying or thinking negative things about yourself, your present situations and your future, you are only pulling yourself back down.

Be aware of what you’re saying and speak of only positive things, then start believing them.  Laugh at your mistakes and start loving yourself.  If you don’t change your outlook from deep inside, what you project outside will never change.

“Difficult times always create opportunities for you to experience more love in your life”….

See you tomorrow
