Everyone seems to agree that they’ve learned a lot throughout their lives, good, bad or indifferent, things were learned.
Some of those learning sessions may be corny, some my have been sad.
But I have to say: Bravo to You for continuing to learn regardless of how hard or sweet it was.
I have to say, for me, I can pinpoint the significant things and times that stand out for me that I’ve learned, and I call them my:
Life’s Lessons
I learned at age 5, that I liked to play outside and be with nature, because my Mom cried when I brought her a bouquet of Dandelions.
I learned by age 6, that no matter how hard you try, you can’t hide Brussels Sprouts in a glass of milk.
I learned at about age 8, that country folks seem nicer than city folks. When you wave to people in the country, they stop what they’re doing and wave back.
I learned when I was age 13, if you want to cheer yourself up, you should try cheering someone else up.
I learned at age 14, although I never admitted it, I was secretly glad my parents were strict with me.
I learned at age 22, my parents were my best friends. When I sat and told them, they both cried and thanked me for telling them.
I learned at age 25, silent company can be more comforting, than words of advice.
I learned at age 38, if someone says something unkind and hurtful about me, I had to live so that no one would ever believe it.
I learned at age 40, regardless of your relationship with your parents (and mine was great with my parents), you miss them terribly after they die.
I’ve learned, the more someone has a sense of guilt, the more likely they will cast blame on someone else.
I’ve learned, that singing (to my self) “Amazing Grace” can lift my spirits.
I’ve learned, that you can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle: a rainy day, lost luggage and tangled up Christmas tree lights.
I’ve learned, that if you want to do something positive for your children, you should just try to improve your marriage.
I’ve learned, that life sometimes gives you a second chance.
I’ve learned, that when you ‘pursue’ happiness, it will elude you, but if you focus on the needs of others, happiness will find you.
I’ve learned, that whenever I have kindness in my heart while trying to decide on something, I usually make the right decision.
I’ve learned, that everyone can use a prayer.
I’ve learned, that even when I am having pain, I don’t have to be one.
I’ve learned, that everyday you should touch someone. People love human touch; a hug, pat on the shoulder, holding hands or a friendly touch of their arm .
I’ve learned, that for me, I still have a lot to learn yet.
“It’s not so much what you learn or what you know, it’s what you do with what you know & learned”…………..
See you tomorrow.
