DO YOU SAY “I’M SORRY” ALL THE TIME
I think we all know someone that is always saying “I’m Sorry”, all the time. Even when you correct them to stop saying it, they still keep on saying it!!
Why in the world do they keep saying that.
Many reasons are behind that phrase: habit, lack of something to say, over achieving, trying to please you, feeling inferior to you…….
There’s about as many reasons as there are people on this earth.
Saying “I’m Sorry” is terribly misused, or stated at inappropriate times, that’s a given, but when is the correct time to be saying “I’m Sorry”?
***********
When is saying “I’m Sorry” too much?
Only say “I’m Sorry” when you:
Are wrong.
Are rude.
Are defensive.
Are impatient.
Are negative.
Are hurtful.
Are insensitive.
Are forgetful.
Are confused or confusing.
Have neglected, ignored, or overlooked something important to someone you love.
Have damaged or misused something that is not yours (even if it was an accident).
Have not said “I’m sorry” as sincerely & quickly as the situation needed.
*************
Saying I’m sorry to someone is meant as an apology for doing, saying something in error, hurtful, etc. It’s not meant to be said as just something to say.
If being sorry about something is not appropriate, then don’t say it.
Why is this such a big deal?
If you repeatedly say “I’m sorry” as a sentence filler, then when You REALLY are sorry about something, you will not be taken seriously, because you’ve said it all the time for everything.
So be very sure you are in fact sorry about something, or don’t say it at all.

“It’s better to say nothing at all, than to say something you don’t really mean”……..
