“I AM A GOOD PERSON, AREN’T I?”
Let me ask you this, if you have a dog & they could talk, how would they answer that statement?
We all have our own perception of the type of person we are, don’t we.
But I want to ask you, are you sure other people see & hear what you do?
That is the key to this today.
YOU may feel you’re kind, jolly & supportive, but that may NOT be how you are coming across to others.
Read that sentence again…
What you think you are doing, may not be what others see & feel.
If you think you are being, for example, KIND, are you presenting yourself that way.
Maybe, but maybe not.
I am going to give you some guidelines of what a person with Real Kindness does.
See if ANY of these thoughts apply to you…
Remember, you may THINK you look or sound shiny & beautiful, but you may come across as a rusty tarnished example of your real self…
HOW TO DETERMINE IF YOU ARE REALLY A GOOD & KIND PERSON
- Seek out the good in people.
- Be the first to say hello.
- Treat everyone you meet like you want to be treated.
- When you receive a kindness, pass it on.
- Make it a habit to do nice things for people who’ll never find out.
- Look for opportunities to make people feel important.
- Be open & accessible. The next person you meet could become your best friend.
- Never underestimate the power of a kind word or deed.
- Never allow a friend to grieve alone.
- Be there when people need you.
- Practice empathy. Try to see things from other people’s points of view.
- Be kinder than necessary.
So, how do you come across? Which version; a rusty tarnished version of yourself, or a beautiful shiny example of kindness?
Remember, in addition to these thoughts, there is also your body language.
Not must not only say & act kind, but your body language must also portray these acts as well.
If you are 100% sure you are the image of these thoughts, then I applaud you!
However, if you have any doubt or question, ask someone you trust to be completely honest with you.
Remember, presentation is NOT always the perception.
Only your dog knows for sure..
“How you do one thing, is how you do everything. Be aware”….
See you tomorrow…

I hear what you say and agree with you Linda but also, what came to mind was “never judge a book by it cover”. Some of the most beautiful people I have met have not projected their beauty by their persona for whatever reason. But if one does PD chances are they will become aware of their persona and it will change with belief, confidence and experience.
