“I’m Tough & Fearless, No One Will Mess With Me!” | How to have Courage in what you do.

“I’M TOUGH & FEARLESS, NO ONE WILL MESS WITH ME!”

Being “tough & fearless” does not identify an individual with who is strong.

Being a Bully or Instigator does not identify  one who is strong either.

What describes one who has quality character, is one who has courage!

Courage is a quality of someone who has honesty, is caring, & respectful to everyone, without need of reciprocation.

Here are some thoughts I have that may better explain what real Courage is about & what it takes to have it.

How to have COURAGE in what you do

Courage is to Correct:

To change your own behavior if it is wrong.

Courage is to Care:

To take personal responsibility & show love for others.

Courage is your Conscious:

To only do what is right.

Courage is to Confess:

To acknowledge your personal wrongs toward others.

Courage to Conform:

To do what the law requires of you.

Courage is to Confront:

To stand up to untruth & injustice.

Courage is to Communicate:

To speak on issues of importance.

Courage is to Challenge:

To change the way you’ve ‘always done it’, if it has been wrong.

Courage is to Consider:

To rethink any preconceived notions.

****************************

Having Courage is not something you do on occasion, it’s inside of you & is what you do all of the time.

Courage is part of your character & is who you are as a person.

Being “tough & fearless” has absolutely nothing to do with courage at all, as you can see now.

So, you have a choice, do you still want to be “tough & fearless”, or do you want to have courage as part of your character…

“I am not a product of my circumstances.  I am a product of my decisions”…

  1. Love this post Linda.

It takes courage, clarity and self acceptance to be able todo what we love and to to continue to do it.

I asked someone the other day…”well…. what would you do if you didn’t do this”

They didn’t have an answer and there the answer is right there..

    Thanks Linda

Some people can’t see what’s right in front of them, & that’s okay. Now you have your answer & not waste anymore energy in their direction!! Thank you Di for your thoughts.

  2. Yes … being tough and fearless has nothing to do with being courageous! Courage is from the inside out. Tough and fearless is merely bravado!
