“Are These Symptoms For Real!” | Should I see my doctor about these symptoms?

“ARE THESE SYMPTOMS FOR REAL?”

Being a Registered Nurse, I of course get asked a lot of medical questions everyday.

Now, I’m not a doctor nor do I ever pretend to be, however, in all my career years there’s been a lot of repeated questions.

As you can see, I’m NOT a doctor, just an ER Nurse (as we’re called).

All of the repeated questions are asked because most people want a simple answer that eliminates the need to see their physician.

However, there are some other questions that are much more complex & DO require a physician visit for obvious reasons, as you’ll see.

With that said, I’m going to share about a dozen of the most common questions asked of me, to get out of going to their doctor.

I believe you will be able to see, if you are experiencing any of these “most common questions”, then YES, you need to see your physician at once!

They can lead to stroke, complications, serious illness or even death, if not treated properly.

BY THE WAY:  Are you having challenges or struggling with things in you life, lost your job, out of money, recovery from injuries with bills coming in overwhelming you, grieving, down or depressed?  I know what you’re going through, I’ve been there, it hurts, its terrifying & you have no clue where to turn.

I honestly have been through this myself.  I was in a tragic accident last year lost my job / income, my health,  mobility.  I was devastated, the bills never stopped coming in  I was drowning in debt.  Sound somewhat familiar? Let me share with you what I did that literally saved my life.  I’ve been able to completely turn my life around, get back up, become more successful than ever before & now financially free.

Linda – that’s great advice. We are all guilty of procrastination but when it comes to your health, you only get one chance! Sometimes it takes a good message like yours to remind us that if we don’t take care of ourselves, who else is going to? – and when you need help you should reach out to the right person. I hope you’re doing better these days – you look sharp in your RN outfit!

Oh thank you Kim, I appreciate your thoughts. Procrastination is denial, along with it’ll never happen to me. Gosh I can’t tell you how many hundreds of people that said that, many of which didn’t make it. Now with the online self diagnosing that’s happening, that number has only escalated. When in doubt, reach out to a qualified, trained & experienced practitioner.

Thank you & I’m doing fine. As for the RN Outfit, you can tell that was at the start of the shift, my scrubs are still clean! Thanks Kim, I love your feedback thoughts.

  3. Thanks for sharing this very important reminder. We can often be a little remiss when it comes to going to a doctor, or even dismissive because we are afraid of what might be the problem. With access to such a huge amount of information online, we can put our health and wellbeing in danger… A trip to the Doctor is well advised!

  4. Thanks for sharing Linda. I totally agree that anyone with those symtoms needs to seek medical and fast……

Good girl Diane! Yes I wouldn’t have chosen them if they weren’t the most common denied symptoms. Thank you Diane for your feedback.

  5. Thank you for sharing those symptoms … I must admit that I abhor the idea of seeing a doctor and simply “will” my symptoms away. Naughty I know … but I appreciate knowing you’re one click away!

I will hold you to that confession action!!! Those symptoms are a matter of “It’ll never happen to me, they can’t be real, I’m fine, I’ll just push through it.” However, the toll you body takes the longer you wait or deny those symptoms will only take you either longer to recover, or death will get you first. Too strong? I think not, I’ve seen too many wait too long! Thank you Erica for your thoughts.
