I’m here to talk about the challenges, the hurdles, those ‘nothing goes right’ days and the set backs that jump in your way unexpectedly. You may even feel like that ‘black cloud’ hanging over your head seems to have your name on it. If a particular topic of the day here doesn’t suit you or doesn’t speak to you, that’s fine, maybe tomorrows topic will seem more interesting to your issues in your life. Why, because I have been through a lifetime of rock bottom challenges, and I want to share how you can crawl back up successfully.
WHEN YOU ARE ALREADY DOWN, AND FEELING LIKE THE WORLD IS STILL COMING DOWN AROUND YOU, YOU BECOME FROZEN.
THIS HAPPENS FOR ALL TYPES OF CHALLENGES:
GRIEF, WORK ISSUES, NOT HAVING A JOB, RECOVERING FROM AN ILLNESS OR INJURY, DEPRESSION, LACK OF CONFIDENCE OR SELF ESTEEM, OR WHAT EVER ISSUE THAT HAS YOU FEELING SO ALONE.
I HEARD FROM SOMEONE WHO IS GOING THROUGH THIS AS WE SPEAK. “I JUST CAN’T, I CAN’T HANDLE ANYMORE”…….
WHAT EVER THE ISSUE IS THAT IS WEIGHING YOU DOWN, YOU FIRST NEED TO S T O P, YES S T O P.
STOP THINKING ABOUT ALL IT IS THAT IS WEIGHING YOU DOWN. STOP PULLING MORE AND MORE NEGATIVE THOUGHTS ON TOP OF YOURSELF BECAUSE YOU ARE ALREADY SUFFOCATING.
BREATH, B R E A T H , B. R. E. A. T. H. JUST EMPTY YOUR MIND AND FOCUS ON NOTHING BUT BREATHING.
ONLY THINK ABOUT YOU, PULL YOUR SHOULDERS DOWN AND BREATH SLOWLY. FOR 2 MINUTES JUST DO THIS, LET GO OF ANY OTHER THOUGHTS EXCEPT YOUR BREATHING.
NOW, FOR TODAY, YOU’RE ONLY GOING TO FOCUS ON YOU. GET SOMETHING TO DRINK AND EAT. TAKE CARE OF ONLY YOU. IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN, ASK THEM FOR THEIR HELP. YOUR CHILDREN REALLY WANT TO HELP YOU TAKE CARE OF YOU.
TODAY IS ONLY GOING TO BE ABOUT YOU, GETTING YOU CALMER AND FOCUSING ON YOURSELF. IN ORDER FOR EVERYTHING ON YOUR SHOULDERS THAT’S WEIGHING YOU DOWN TO FALL OFF, YOU HAVE TO FOCUS ONLY ON YOU TODAY.
YOU ARE TAKING A ‘PERSONAL DAY’, ‘DAY OFF’, ‘ME DAY’, TODAY. YOU HAVE TO LET ALL THAT GARBAGE FALL OFF THE SHELVES OF YOUR SHOULDERS BEFORE YOU DROWN – THIS IS MANDATORY.
YOU CANNOT HANDLE ALL THE CHALLENGES UNTIL YOU HAVE STRENGTH WITHIN YOURSELF. IF IT TAKES ONE OR 2DAYS OR MORE, SO BE IT, BUT YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO TAKE OFF AND HANDLE THOSE ISSUES WEIGHING YOU DOWN, UNLESS YOU REGAIN STRENGTH WITHIN YOURSELF.
WHEN YOU ARE READY, THEN, THE KEY IS HANDLING ONLY ONE AT A TIME. THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR MULTI-TASKING. ONLY ONE ISSUE AT A TIME, PERIOD!
IF YOU DO NOT HANDLE ONLY ONE ISSUE AT A TIME, YOU WILL WIND UP DROWNING AGAIN, AND AGAIN…….
STRENGTH COMES FROM WITHIN. IF YOU DON’T GIVE YOURSELF THE TIME TO OBTAIN THAT STRENGTH, YOU WILL NEVER GET THAT MESS OFF YOUR SHOULDERS.
THINK VERY WISELY AND WORK THIS PROCESS OUT CAREFULLY, THEN YOU WILL BE ABLE TO HANDLE ISSUES “ONE AT A TIME”.

Oh thanks Beth. The one at a time focus was saved me when I was trying to get back up. It kept me from physical & mentally feeling so overwhelmed & in a drowning state. Thank you Beth.
