I’m here to talk about the challenges, the hurdles, those ‘nothing goes right’ days and the set backs that jump in your way unexpectedly. You may even feel like that ‘black cloud’ hanging over your head seems to have your name on it. If a particular topic of the day here doesn’t suit you or doesn’t speak to you, that’s fine, maybe tomorrows topic will seem more interesting to your issues in your life. Why, because I have been through a lifetime of rock bottom challenges, and I want to share how you can crawl back up successfully
TODAY TOOK ME TO SOME UNEXPECTED AREAS AROUND PEOPLE WHILE I HAD A FOLLOW UP SURGICAL APPOINTMENT. THE LOBBY WAS QUITE FULL, AND YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THERE’S A LOT OF PEOPLE, THE CONVERSATIONS JUST GET LOUDER.
WHILE HEARING ALL THE COMOTION AND CHATTER AROUND ME, I COULDN’T HELP BUT HEAR THE LOUDER CONVERSATION BEHIND THE DESK. WELL, TO BE HONEST, THOSE OUT IN THE HALLWAY PROBABLY COULD HEAR IT AS WELL.
THE STAFF MEMBERS APPEARED TO BE SHARING THEIR IDEAS TO EACH OTHER, APPARENTLY ABOUT STARTING A NEW METHOD OF SOMETHING IN THE CLINIC.
WHAT THE “METHOD”WAS IS NOT AS IMPORTANT AS THE WORDS OR PHRASES I KEPT HEARING.
THIS MADE ME THINK ABOUT MY BUSINESS TRAINING AND THE CARDINAL RULES OF BUSINESS PLANNING.
THERE IS A RIGHT AND A WRONG WAY TO COME UP WITH A GOOD IDEA WHETHER IN BUSINESS, AT HOME MANAGING THE KIDS OR YOUR HOUSE RESPONSIBILITIES, ORGANIZING YOUR LIFE, ETC.
BUT, THERE ARE 7 WAYS TO BURY A GOOD IDEA!
BY SAYING:
“IT WILL NEVER WORK”.
“WE HAVE NEVER DONE IT THAT WAY BEFORE”.
“WE ARE DOING FINE WITHOUT IT”.
“WE CAN’T AFFORD IT”.
“WE’RE NOT READY FOR IT”.
“IT’S NOT OUR RESPONSIBILITY”.
“THAT’S NOT HOW WE USES TO DO IT”.
IF YOU ARE USING ANY OF THESE PHRASES FOR YOUR WORK, PROJECT, HOME ISSUES, ETC., YOU MIGHT AS WELL STOP AND FORGET IT, BECAUSE YOU HAVE ALREADY “BURIED” YOUR GOOD IDEA.
“DO OR DO NOT. THERE IS NO TRY”………….
