Do You Know What Negativity Does to You?

HELLO everyone, thank you for visiting my blog today.  My name is Linda Frame and I am here everyday with:    DAILY ADVERSITY SUPPORT

I’m here to talk about the challenges, the hurdles, those ‘nothing goes right days and the set backs that jump in your way unexpectedly.  You may even feel like that ‘black cloud’ hanging over your head seems to have your name on it.  

If a particular topic of the day here doesn’t suit you or doesn’t speak to you, that’s fine, maybe tomorrows topic will seem more interesting to your issues in your life.  Why, because I have been through a lifetime of rock bottom challenges, and I want to share how you can crawl back up successfully.

Feeling at your worst in the world, you start looking around and don’t see much hope out there for yourself, don’t you.  You’re about ready to give up on things and think maybe a prayer for a breakthrough will be answered.  You have just given up on all hope of getting anywhere, much less knowing where to even start.  Then your start being down, then negative, then stressed……..

That was the key words right there: “start”, when you start to change your thoughts that’s just going to fuel your movement, and “choice”, you’re choosing to do this.

What does that mean, first, negative thoughts drain your ambition, negative thoughts convince yourself you’re doomed, negative thoughts expect no hope for you.  It’s a movement of choice, you are choosing which direction you’re going.

Is that what you want?  Are you that convinced you’re not going to make it?  That downward spiral is a conscious choice you’re making.

Negative thoughts, feelings and actions really take a lot of work.  You spend so much time convincing yourself you can’t do it, you just believe everyone hates you an you give up on any opportunity that comes along to help yourself.  WOW, that’s a lot of work and stress being negative all the time.

If I had done that, giving up and being negative about everything, I would have never gotten to where I am now. 

Negativity is exhausting not only to those around you, but think about what your body goes through.  You don’t believe me?

Feeding your mind negative thoughts, feelings, actions, depresses your neurotransmitters of your brain.  What?  Big word isn’t it: neurotransmitter, stay with me here, it’s easy. 

To simplify what that is, it’s the part in your brain that releases the:   a) happy substance in your brain  or  b) unhappy substance in your brain, depending on your feelings and thoughts your feeding it.

But your negativity doesn’t stop there, it also affects your primary organs:  heart, blood circulating system, liver, pancreas, kidney’s, stomach, intestines, lungs.  Yeah pretty much all of the primary organs.  What does it do, stresses the organs making them work harder.  

Okay, so we know now that being negative effects your; brain and all your primary organs in your body.  But, that’s not all negativity affects, your hair thins and becomes more brittle, falling out. 

You nails become brittle, break/tear, your hearing becomes less sensitive, you internal fluid levels decrease, bowel and bladder changes are significant, you rteeth / oral status deteriorates, your optic nerve /eye-vision fogs and your pupils become dull.  Your skin becomes drier, flakey and dull.

The affects of constant negativity and stress on your body are quite parallel, they both have significant affects and effects (psychological & physical) on your body that do not result in good outcomes.

Now, do you still think it’s okay to be negative, down and stressed all the time? No it’s not, you are affecting those around you and breaking down your body in a bad way.

So, what can you do, START.  Start by being aware of what you think about.  Start by being aware of what you say.  Start be believing in yourself. Start by taking action to be positive even when you don’t feel like it. 

Choose to be positive and feed yourself with up lifting thoughts and tasks.

All of what I have included here today is factual, but as a medical professional, I have to be honest with you about what you’re doing to yourselves.  I have seen the results on people and believe me, it’s not pretty.

Start, believe, choose, have hope, and get up with positive productive feelings and actions.  No one on earth can do this, except you.  Your negative thoughts and stress are not only pulling you further down, they’re killing you.  

Can you fix it and reverse it?  Yes, but you have to commit to yourself and stick to it, so start now.

 

Being negative and being stressed:  IS A CHOICE!  Choose wisely not only for your sake, but for your own body.

    Hi Linda, I really enjoyed reading your post. It serves as a good reminder the consequences of not thinking and doing positive activities. I know the dark power of negative thinking and I never want to go down that path again. Being stressed is a choice and I choose to handle my pressure in a positive manner! By being proactive. Thank you Linda:)
