“How Am I EVER Going To Recover From This?” | How to believe and value again

“HOW AM I EVER GOING TO RECOVER FROM THIS?”

When you are going through awful times, ongoing grieving, life changing events & recovery, you feel numb.

You mind has not found a way to think straight & the longer this continues, the more difficult it’s going to be to get back to “normal” thinking.

You have to start finding the things you believe in, find what things are of value to you, something that puts a small light in your spirit which is now quite dim.

Think very hard right now about this question, “what do you believe in.”

When I went through my last serious devastating life changing event in the accident, which I am still recovering from, it caused me career ending injuries.

I had to ask myself that very question, what do I believe in.”

It took awhile to find what that was, & then it came slowly, a little at a time.

Here are the things I dug deep to find that I actually still believed in & what I valued.

Maybe some of these thoughts will trigger something for you.

This small list of mine can even look out of place & impossible, but I can assure you, you have got to start finding something of value that you have believed in & still do.

It’s in there inside of you, I promise & I know you don’t think it is, but you do have beliefs.

Just find one every few days or even one a week like I did, but find something of value that you believe in & start today.

Find that belief & focus on it, find the value of it & focus on it every day.

But, the longer you wait to do this simple step, the longer it will be before you are able to even sit up for the long climb back up.

Do NOT skip this step & start telling yourself, “You Can Do This”!

Start telling yourself:  “I CAN do this!”

*****

“Believe in yourself, as much as others believe in you”…

Thank you Sue. Those life changing events, happen for reasons we are not aware of the time, & sometimes never understand. However, the strength & growth we receive from them puts us far more forward than those fussing about their small senseless issues. You are are a ROCK Sue, thank you!

Thank you Sandy, I am recovered emotionally & in my mind I’m at peace now with where I’m at. My Physical injuries were career ending, but after nursing for 46 years, it’s all good to take an early retirement. Not planned, but you have to take the cards you’re dealt with.
