“NO, I’M NOT MAD!”
Does it irritate you when someone asks you if you’re mad?
If it does, then maybe you should look in the mirror because they must see your non-verbal body language & expression.
If you walk around with a scowl on your face, you can expect a friend to ask you if you’re mad about something.
Never expect others to assume; “that’s the way I look”.
If it IS the way you look, you really need to change your expression because people are eventually going to start avoiding you.
Everyone has enough of their own problems & issues, to be around someone you can SEE is irritated about something already, is one to avoid.
I read from a dear friend of mine today & was told of he being confronted by someone with rude acts of hatred.
No one should ever confront someone expecting anything; to be fed, to be shown something, to be be paid, or expected of anything.
That behavior is rude, whether you’re in a restaurant, a retail store, a payroll department or especially at home with family.
You should never have expectation of someone else at all, this isn’t a dictatorship we live in, you should ONLY have expectations of yourself.
What we all should have is: giving, helping, kindness, gratitude.
But, never expectations of others.
Here’s what we should do is: wear kindness.
Yes wear kindness.
Let your kindness be visible, let that be the first thing someone sees, with your smile.
When you meet a stranger or even someone you know, you should already appear the same; wearing you kindness.
Here’s exactly what I’m talking about:
*****
How to wear kindness
Kindness in your face,
the first thing someone see’s.
Kindness in your eyes,
so others see how kind & genuine you are.
Kindness in you smile,
so others feel your kindness.
Kindness in your words,
so others hear & feel your warm reassuring message.
Kindness to everyone,
never let others leave you without feeling better & happier.
Kindness appearance all the time,
be a living expression of pure natural peace.

A word of caution:
…be careful with your expressions because if you fake kindness or any of the ingredients I’ve listed above, you’ll immediately be seen as fake & others will never forget that.
So try these examples of simple kindness traits, see how kindness fits.
Who knows, you may wear kindness like a runway model!
*****
Be kind, everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about”…

What a great piece of advice — to instead of take it personal and get mad when someone asks if we are mad, but instead take a moment to look in the mirror. Thank you!
Thank you Kristin for picking up on that thought, so many miss it & continue to blame others. You’re as always, very insightful.
I love this Linda!
Usually the people very close to you can tell right away if something is bothering you, it’s human nature I think. It’s something that is hard to hide.
I really liked how you explained to wear kindness, and I agree, this is something that should take priority in everyone’s lives. Not just for what it does for others, but for what it does to us as well.
Thanks for sharing this!
Kristine
Absolutely my pleasure Kristine & thank you for absorbing these thoughts. I can only wish more people would take that moment to look in the mirror & see what we see, maybe then they’re ‘get it.’
Great advice Linda. Being kind, authentically kind is not difficult. Too many people are too self absorbed to do this. I think true beauty is someone who radiates kindness, joy and happiness. They are nice to be around. I also agree faking it does not work. 🙂
Thank you Sue I so appreciate your thoughts. You are one of the nicest person I’ve ever met so that means a lot to hear that from you. Radiating kindness, joy & happiness is contagious & that’s the type of outbreak we need in this world.
