“NOTHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO ME!”
Life doesn’t always happen the way you planned it.
Sure you get up & have a step back or two that causes you to be late, or even hands you more work than you expected.
However, sometimes life takes a very unexpected turn that you were totally thrown off guard with.
But that’s not what I getting at here today.
No this unexpected obstacle is a bit different & most likely something you’ve never experienced before.
Sometimes it takes a life changing setback, before you can truly understand the meaning of life.
Until that time of ‘life changing’ devastation happens to you, you really don’t understand how much you take for granted.
Until you experience devastation in a life changing form, whether it be physical, emotional or both, you’ll never understand the value of life.
*****
How well do you understand life
Joy …until you face sorrow.
Faith…until it is tested.
Peace…until you are faced with conflict.
Trust…until you are betrayed.
Love…until it’s lost.
Hope…until you are confronted with doubts.
Courage…until you’ve back to get back on your feet.
Belief...until you’ve had to depend on your own.
Perseverance…until it was all up to you.
Life…until yours has changed forever.

Remember, if you are facing devastation, loss, depression, physical or emotional challenges, & now you feel like you can’t get back up… you can & will.
Yes I DO understand because I too have been there.
I too have hit bottom from a devastating accident, I too have had to start over physically, emotionally & financially.
Was it easy for me, of course not it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.
Why am I telling you this?
I want you to understand four (4) things:
- Do NOT take your life for granted.
- Do NOT assume tomorrow will be here.
- Do NOT think you are alone.
- Do NOT ever give up.
Adversities in life will make you stronger, smarter & full of character, IF you handle your climb back up with gratitude & humility.
Don’t wait until something happens to you, to understand & be grateful for your life.
Take each moment & each day to understand the true meaning of life & NEVER take tomorrow for granted.

Wow Linda, this is an absolutely amazing post!
Having been through so many things in my life, I have come to realize that so many people cannot understand my actions or my situation, until they have been in it themselves.
This has made for a very trying life at times. But I also know that because of everything I have gone through, I find it easier to be compassionate and truly understand the adversity that others are facing.
Thanks for bringing this to light, I appreciate it!
Kristine
Kristine first I am so sorry for all your challenges throughout your life. However, those challenges are what made you the beautiful person you are today & I am honored to know you as I do. Thank you for your insights.
LOVE this post. It is so true that we don’t always understand life until something happens to show us. It is in the tough times and the down times that we can really learn what life is all about. You don’t know what you have until its gone…
Oh that is SO true Kristin …”you don’t know what you have until it’s gone”… You hit that spot on. I always say, live everyday to the fullest because you never know. I sure didn’t… Thank you Kristin.
