You may be getting older every day, but that doesn’t mean your life is over.
Look at all the experiences you have accomplished.
Think about the knowledge you have now.
You can’t seriously think you’d want to do this all over again?
This isn’t an “if I knew then what I know now” thing, it doesn’t work like that.
Be grateful for all you have accomplished, experienced & gone through.
Look at the strength you have gained by going through the things you did.
Here are some of the secrets for staying young:
Your strength is not gone, keep using it.
Your mind is not old, keep developing it.
Your humor is not over, keep enjoying it.
Your opportunities have not vanished, keep pursing them.
Don’t ever let yourself give up because of a number.
Who knows, you may be just hitting your stride.
Keep moving forward, keep learning new things, & never give up.
“Turn your cant’s into cans, & your dreams into plans”…
See you tomorrow…

BY THE WAY: Are you having challenges or struggling with things in you life, lost your job, out of money, recovery from injuries with bills coming in overwhelming you, grieving, down or depressed? I know what you’re going through, I’ve been there, it hurts, its terrifying & you have no clue where to turn.
I honestly have been through this myself. I was in a tragic accident last year & lost my job / income, my health & mobility. I was devastated, the bills never stopped coming in & I was drowning in debt. Sound somewhat familiar?

I’ve always liked ‘What you don’t use, you lose.’ And it’s frighteningly true! The best way to stay young…. or at least feel young… is to exercise your mind, body and soul as often as possible. 🙂
Especially your mind Shaun. You’re body may not stand the activity as it use to, but your mind is something you have to keep sharp. Thanks again Shaun. I love your thoughts.
I read this “Don’t ever let yourself give up because of a number. Who knows, you may be just hitting your stride” and I thought of American Folk Artist, Grandma Moses who started painting at age 78. One of her paintings, “The Sugaring Off” was sold for US$1.2 million in 2006.
So yeah … don’t ever let age define you.
Bingo & great example Erica!! Grandma Moses finally made it at age 78, & for those who think you’re too old at 40, shame on you! haha. thank you Erica, I always love your feedback.
This is so in tune with my own beliefs, Linda. I really just don’t believe in ‘old age’. I think we allow ourselves to be conditioned by group thinking, and underestimate the ability of the human being to go beyond what they ‘know’, or think they know.
Thanks for the inspiration!
That is so true Kerrie. It is only a number, but in my field, I see people either look & act 20 years older or 20 years younger than their given age. Just enjoy today, now, just BE! Thanks Kerrie.
I agree with Shaun that we need to use it or lose it. I shared a Gary Vaynerchuk video yesterday and then included it in a blog post on this topic. Age is just a number and I do not get when people think they are too old. Louise Hay is a wonderful example of a woman in her late eighties still inspiring. Great message Linda.
Yes Sue you are so right, Louise Hay is a terrific example of regardless of your numerical age, never stop going after your passion for life. Thank you Sue.
I have this discussion with my mother every so often… Age really is just a number and too many use it as an ‘excuse’ 🙂 great blog Linda
She just needs to focus on the moment, life, the surroundings of every day she opens her eyes & live life to the fullest. No one needs any more excuses than we already have. Just Be.
