“IT’S SO ANNOYING, I JUST WISH THEY WOULD STOP DOING THAT!”
Oh wow, how many times have we heard this statement, right.
Little things set us off, things others people say, how something else looks…
I think you get this, you’ve all seen or heard things that you just didn’t like or care for in some even small way.
Well, believe it or not, not everything is done to upset you.
I know you’re aware of that, but so many times we forget, don’t we.
So, instead of avoiding someone, getting irritated at every little thing, & walking away from something or someone you actually do care for, let’s do something different.
Let’s start thinking about things differently.
There is only so much you can control & that is really only yourself.
Today, I going to give you just a few thoughts about the difference between what you cannot control & What you CAN control.
There is so much out of your control, but these are things you CAN control.
***********
No, you CAN’T control the traffic….
***********
HOW TO DEAL WITH WHAT YOU CANNOT CONTROL
You cannot control:
the other person’s annoying habits, but you CAN do something about your own.
You cannot control:
the length of our life, but you CAN control it’s width & depth.
You cannot control:
the distance your head is above ground, but you CAN control the height of the contents you feed into it.
You cannot control:
the contour of your face, but you CAN control your expression.
***************
Undoubtedly, you’re going to come across someone a little “different” than everyone else. That’s okay.
It’s not your responsibility to “change” anyone to suit you.
Manage & control yourself well, be aware of your non-verbal responses, content you put into your mind, how much learning you accept, what your own habits are, & how you take care of your life/body.
If you spend your energy on productive things, like being taking care of yourself & your own business, what others do or say will be of no difference to you.
Use your energy wisely & be aware of your actions to see that they are healthy, wholesome, positive & pure, & live your own life to the fullest everyday.
Be kind, not critical of others, because you have no idea what they are thinking or going through.

“Change your thoughts, & you change your world”….

BY THE WAY: Are you having challenges or struggling with things in you life, lost your job, out of money, recovery from injuries with bills coming in overwhelming you, grieving, down or depressed? I know what you’re going through, I’ve been there, it hurts, its terrifying & you have no clue where to turn.
I honestly have been through this myself. I was in a tragic accident last year & lost my job / income, my health & mobility. I was devastated, the bills never stopped coming in & I was drowning in debt. Sound somewhat familiar?
Let me share with you what I did that literally saved my life. I’ve been able to completely turn my l life around, get back up, become more successful than ever before & financially free. Here’s how:

You always give the most heartfelt advice … I especially like the advice about spending your energy wisely in looking after yourself and your business. I find that when I’m minding my own business I have far less opportunities to be upset about someone else’s business … which in fact is none of my business anyway 😉
Oh that’s spot on Erica. There’s no reason to be upset about someone else, when you’re minding your own business in the first place. I love that, well said. Thank you Erica, as always, I love your feedback.
Linda – very thought proving. All too often we ‘react’ without thinking. Just a second of thought can change everything…..if only we all took the time!
Exactly, “if only we took the time!” Most are so critical of others words & actions, but so often we also do those same things. Time to look in the mirror?! Thank you Kim, I appreciate you insights.
Yes Linda, love this post! There is so much that we can’t control when it comes to others around us. We need to focus on what’s inside of us, because that is the only thing we do actually have control over. Love when you said, “If you spend your energy on productive things, like being taking care of yourself & your own business, what others do or say will be of no difference to you.” So true! Thanks for this one!
You’ve got that right Kristine. Focus on your own thoughts, words & actions, to ensure they are not offensive to others. Thank you Kristine.
Oh, you made me smile. I love the one that you can’t control the shape of your face, but you can control the expressions.
Haha, that one gets a lot of attention Sandy. Thank you for your insight, I appreciate it.
Hi Linda,
Love this post and how you have spaced everything out.
Love the self care sentence. No-one else is going to take care of us to how we need to be cared for, they don’t know what we need, and they should be caring for themsleves first… if they are…… you are second on their list
Thankyou Linda
Powerful post today Linda!
I especially love You cannot control: the length of our life, but you CAN control it’s width & depth.
Actually each one made me pause and think for a minute…
Thanks Linda!
I luv how you form all your above sentences and all of the sentences all end up with you looking at you! It’s good advice; things happen, people behave however they do, the only thing you can control is your own reaction to any of it. xox Zen
Absolutely Zen you’re so right! The only thing you can control is you. If you see someone doing something annoying, look in the mirror, & be sure you aren’t doing it too. Thank you Zen, I appreciate your thoughts.
