Is No One Hearing You?

HELLO everyone, thank you for visiting my blog today.  My name is Linda Frame and I am here everyday with:    DAILY ADVERSITY SUPPORT

Authors Note: For my background information, please visit my Profiles on Facebook and Linkedin.

I’m here to talk about the challenges, the hurdles, those ‘nothing goes right’ days and the set backs that jump in your way unexpectedly.  You may even feel like that ‘black cloud’ hanging over your head seems to have your name on it.  If a particular topic of the day here doesn’t suit you or doesn’t speak to you, that’s fine, maybe tomorrows topic will seem more interesting to your issues in your life.  Why, because I have been through a lifetime of rock bottom challenges, and I want to share how you can crawl back up successfully.

Today, I’m going to be talking about communication in a VERY simple, easy to remember way.  After all, many of you are already stressed out, going through grief, wounded from a miserable day or week from work, fighting with your spouse or friends or kids, the mechanic or pharmacy, etc………..

I learned this in college in an advanced communications class I took and this has stuck in my head, because it’s so easy to remember.

So, what ever is happening to you at this moment, STOP.  If you’re still muttering “no one is listening to me,” or : “who cares,”   STOP.

Now, I only want you to think of ONE WORD:  Ladder.  Again, think of:   “LADDER”

“Ladder” will help you remember very simply how to communicate to other people.   LADDER…

L ook at the person speaking to you.

A sk questions.

on’t interrupt.

on’t change the subject.

mpathize.

espond verbally AND non-verbally.

Okay, go get your own ladder out and use it!

“Successful interactions, first start with a willingness to listen”….

See you tomorrow
