“LEAVE ME ALONE, I KNOW WHAT I’M DOING!”
Not everyone can tell when things are starting to spin out of control, until it’s too late.
Someone being so close to things can’t really see what can happen, or what’s about to happen until there’s no turning back.
On the other hand, many people don’t want to be told anything either, because they either ‘think’ they have it under control or they cannot take any constructive criticism. They simply don’t want anyone telling them what to do.
Any of the examples above, are sure to lead to an unhappy ending.
Today, I want to share with you a few thoughts to BEWARE OF:
- gentleness, leading to weakness.
- anger, leading to abuse.
- enjoyment, leading to addiction.
- rest, leading to laziness.
- leadership, leading to dominance.
- carefulness, leading to fear.
- courage, leading to foolhardiness.
- confidence, leading to pride.
- freedom, leading to lack of discipline.
- self-care, leading to selfishness.
No one is perfect, we cannot see everything going on around us all the time.
Be aware of what is going on, where things are going, & what ‘could’ happen if things get too far.
Your life is not on cruise control, you cannot keep your eyes off your journey or get too comfortable.
Be smart, be aware, be ready for changes.
If you can’t stand change, you’ll be in for a big surprise when something goes wrong.
“People are more what they hide, than what they show”…..
See you tomorrow..

WOW!!! Had to read that twice! A lot of food for thought there today Linda. Thank you!
Life & habits can spin out of control & get habilitual. Being aware & taking constructive criticism is soo important in keeping an open mind. So sorry I threw a curve ball, but it is a heavy but important subject. Thank you Erica for the second read.
I might be paraphrasing Socrates a little, but ‘True wisdom comes from the knowledge that you know nothing.’ I don’t believe too many people actually like ‘change’ per se, but we have to at least live a life that is flexible enough to accommodate it when it’s the right thing to do.
Oh Shaun, you are soo spot on!! I love this Socrates phrase, how true it really is. I’ve found those who even “say” they like change, don’t! You are so right. Thank you Shaun for sharing.
I am one of those people who thought I liked change, but too be honest — I love routine. While you may not love change — you can be accepting of change and acknowledging that it is going to happen. I love the “beware of” like — this gives a lot to ponder.
Great bullet points of things to ‘think about’ … and people truly are more what they hide than what they show! I luv that Socrates quote from Shaun also : ) Thanks, Linda!
