Whether you feel like it or not, you’ve been told by everyone: doctors, nurses, media, friends, etc., that exercise is good for you.
So, what’s the first thing you think about when you hear you need to exercise? A gym, sports center, athletic club & $$$$$$…..
Well, that’s one way to deflate many people, is to go to a formal place, out in front of people you don’t know, pay a lot of money to do things you may be a little uncoordinated at & spend your whole focusing on how uncomfortable you are being there, how much you’d rather be….
Getting out of your comfort zone is really a good thing. It alerts your mind, attempt new things, meet new people & most of all do something good for your old body, which by the way needs a little attention… just saying.
So, instead of thinking about you have to do something for your body, why not think of it another way.
Just hang with me for a moment & humor me by what I want to share with you.
I want to tell you what doing a little moving around does for your body & your mind. I won’t call it exercise because I know how all my patients hated that word & put up a wall.
Today, we’ll just call it moving around, okay.

Do you have to go to a gym or club to do this, NO!!
I know many people can’t afford a gym or club, but look around your town, city, parks, hiking areas, or even your home!
Work around the house, shut off the TV & computer/devices, well that is after you read my BLOG & listen to my VIDEO!
Look around: Park your car at the far end of the parking lot instead of by the door. Walk to get a paper, walk to the post office, walk around the block, to down town or your city. Walk up & down your stairs carrying one thing at a time, on purpose. Instead of letting your dog out the back door, put them on a leash & take them for a walk or a hike.
Find creative ways to use your feet & not your wheels.
You’ll be healthier, sharper & feel a lot better.
“As I increase my activity, I am healing my mind & every one of my organs, by releasing stress from my body”…….
I do hope you enjoyed today’s blog & were able to take something away from this subject.. Please leave me your comments below, I would love to hear them. Most importantly, thank you for visiting my post.

Great reframe and a new way to look at exercise — it really is just moving around. And any time we can move around is useful. So many benefits!!
Thank you Kristin, the best part for you, is your dog. What a great way to move around even more with dog walks, that provide companionship, quality time & movement for you. I personally don’t like the word “e x e r c i s e. The word itself tenses me up!! Thank you.
