“I Don’t Know How To Get Through This Day!” | What are the rules to live by

“I DON’T KNOW HOW TO GET THROUGH THIS DAY!”

I actually heard someone say this to me:  “I don’t know how to get through this day!”

Now that is a tough loaded statement for anyone to have to face.

After I hear that, it brought to mind something I heard years ago & never forgot it because it was so profound to me.

So today I would like to share a variation of my own rules to live by.

They may not work for everyone, but I’m sure there’s something you can take away from this.

What are the rules to live by

Go ahead & get mad, but then get over it & move on.

It’s really not as bad as you think & will look better in the morning.

It can be done.

Avoid having your ego so close to your position,

that when your position falls, your ego falls with it.

Be careful what you ask for, you may get it.

Don’t let adverse facts stand in the way of a good decision.

Check the small things.

Remain calm & be kind.

Share credit where credit is due.

You can’t make choices for someone else & you shouldn’t let someone else make yours.

Have a vision & never give up until you achieve it.

Never listen to your fears or those who say you can’t do it.

Take pride in how far you’ve come & have faith in how far you can go.

Turn your can’t into can & your dreams into plans.

Everyone has bad days, it’s part of life.

It’s how you handle that day that gives you character.

When those nasty days come up, put on a smile & take on the challenge.

You will learn from them & you will gain strength from them

Just remember, it’s your life & you should be spending all of your waking moments doing something you love.  I know I am!!!

Working hard for something we love, is called passion”…

I honestly have been through this myself.  I was in a tragic accident last year & lost my job / income, my health & mobility.  I was devastated, the bills never stopped coming in & I was drowning in debt.  Sound somewhat familiar?

Let me share with you what I did that literally saved my life.  I’ve been able to completely turn my l life around, get back up, become more successful than ever before & financially free.  Check this out:

  1. What a great post Linda!

I love your rules to live by, and especially “Turn your can’t into can & your dreams into plans.” That one has got to be my favorite.

For me personally, I find it is way to easy to say “I can’t” sometimes it is just an automatic response.

Instead of saying I can’t, I have been replacing it with “That’s just not a priority for me right now.”

    Thanks for sharing this!

  2. WOW!!! This is such great advice Linda:

“Avoid having your ego so close to your position, that when your position falls, your ego falls with it.”

Here’s one thing I know about getting through the days … the sun will ALWAYS rise tomorrow, and it’s up to US to decide how we’ll greet that day. We can either greet it with a smile and a rock solid determination to make it through another day …

… or we can curl up in a little defeated ball and let the days pass us by.

Personally for me I believe that every day offers us a way to move forward. It’s simply a matter of being open to seeing the way.

  3. What a fantastic read up, I thouroughly enjoyed “Its how you handle your day that gives you character”..I love it!!
