“What Is Keeping You From Dreaming?” | Here are the most common reasons for not letting yourself dream…

“WHAT IS KEEPING YOU FROM DREAMING?”

Everyone has a different answer to this question.

Some even say, “I don’t dream”.

What ever the answer you may have, is most likely one of the following thoughts I’ve written below.

Here are some of the most common reasons for not dreaming:

Lack of faith

Past failures

Lack of Confidence

Critical people

Laziness

Overwhelmed by the now

Don’t know how to start

Fear of failure

Distraction

Depression

Don’t know how to dream

Lack of resources

*****************************************************

Anyone & everyone can dream, if you can think & daydream, you can dream.

Dreaming is something you can do for just yourself, without feeling guilty about it.

So let your mind wander & your imagination soar, dream big or dream small, but just have fun with it.

Let yourself take a break from the everyday negatives & just start dreaming, before anymore time passes you by!

  1. Gosh … I can’t imagine not dreaming. What would that even look like? Darkness I imagine. I’ve been a big dreamer my entire life! And what I love about this community is that I am now surrounded by even bigger dreamers that stretch me to dream even bigger!

Erica I love how you love to help others dream big & even bigger than yourself. Your giving & supportive self is always finding ways to makes others happier than they ever thought they could. Thank you for who you are, you are so unique & one of a kind!!! I love it.

Never give up your dreams, your whys, your visions, or your passions. They are YOURS & no one ever has the right or the privilege to interrupt where you have focused your life to go. Thank you Kristine.

  2. I’m with Erica above…. I’ve ALWAYS been a big dreamer. 🙂 I’m also aware that unfortunately it only takes one of the negatives on your list to snowball into most of them and that will stop all but the most determined people from ever trying anything again. We need to help more people not just start to dream big….. but to start to dream big again after they stopped.

That’s right Shaun, when your dreams get flattened, you have to get up, learn from it & move forward again. The negatives in our lives is what give us strength, maturity, wisdom, patience, faith & remind us what is really important. You’ve done just that in your life adventures. Thank you Shaun.

  3. I love to wake up and remember my dreams. Sometimes I can write me dreams down and don’t remember doing it.

I had the most awesome dream. I would actually call it a down load early October that many of my dreams that I remember now are a follow up from the down load

    Luv it

    Thankyou Linda

Di that’s a unique way of compiling a collection. Sounds like a lot of comfort in that, I love it. Thank you for sharing.

  4. Another great post — it is sad that people get so caught up in life and in their own fears that they stop dreaming. Or people who will dream, but never take any action. Though I do love this quote – “Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning” – Gloria Steinem

You’re exactly right, stress & incredible busyness causes one to miss out on the dreams. But Gloria Steinem had the right idea about dreaming, because dreams ARE a form of planning. Thank you Kristin.
