Since we were children, we have all been learning, experimenting, exploring, trying new things, everyday haven’t we.
But when or how did we start to become responsible or have responsibility? Or, are we just born that way?
Did this big word – responsible, come with instructions? What is it, what does it mean to be responsible or to have responsibility?
Our parents paid taxes to the city/county/state, that provided us with the elementary education to learn in school just what these big words mean.
And back then, we learned about these big words having only ONE correct answer for their definitions, no matter how hard I tried to debate that issue!
So why are definitions to words, aka responsible & responsibility, changed by some to suit their needs? Hmmm, now that’s a loaded question isn’t it…..
Regardless of your age, location or education, responsible & having responsibility, still has some things you should keep in mind:
Never spend your money, before you have it.
Never buy what you don’t need, just because it’s cheaper today.
Never put off till tomorrow, what you can do today.
Never trouble another, for what you can do yourself.
Pride costs you more than hunger, thirst & cold.
You never feel regret, of having eaten too little.
Nothing is troublesome, that we do willingly.
Take things, by their smooth handle.
When you’re angry, count to ten before you speak; if you’re very angry, count to one hundred while you walk it off.
As you can see now, these are familiar phrases you grew up hearing, aren’t they? So, when did so many people stop practicing these?
Why have so many people instead become un-responsible?
If you are planning to or currently trying to become successful in life or business, the definition hasn’t changed for responsibility.
So, since I’ve reminded you what NOT to do when being responsible, how about we all start taking more responsibility for what we do.
“Your life is a reflection of how you live, your life”……….
See you tomorrow……

You are absolutely right. And I love this simple and yet highly missed quote – “Your life is a reflection of how you live, your life”……….
Thanks Kristin. That quote is so powerful isn’t it, short but says it all when read slowly again & again to let it sink in. Good pick up on that Kristin.
