“Why Do I Always Spend So Much Money!” | How to recognize where your money is going.

“WHY DO I ALWAYS SPEND SO MUCH MONEY!”

Are you one of the millions of people who seem to have your money draining out of your wallet?

You do your best, you go to the store or go shopping & all of a sudden you wind up with all this stuff & your money’s gone!

What the flip happened here?

So many have this very problem all the time & cannot for the life of them figure out what happened, even when they were so careful.

Or so they thought, they were careful.

What happened, why did you just go to the store for one thing, just ONE DARN THING, & wind up with a buggy full of stuff!!!  ARG…

Many have said, you just “stick to your list.”

Okay, but unless you go shopping with blinders on, we already know that you eventually “peak” to look around.  Yeah, I see you shaking your head.

You’re a peaked, didn’t you!  Ah Ha, caught you this time.

Many people, yes the ladies more than the men, just “go shopping” for social fun.

Seriously, how many times have you heard men say to their buddies, “hey let’s go shopping & have lunch on Saturday to catch up”…

Your lists are a good start, sticking to your list is great, but the key is being consistent every time you go to the store.

Here are my suggestions for you about spending & being more frugal with money.

But, the key here is to read each one & think about your own habits, because these are not what you may think they’re going to be.

HOW TO RECOGNIZE WHERE YOUR MONEY IS GOING

 THINK…

The more you read magazines, newspapers advertisements & grocery store flyers,

the more you spend.

The more time you spend looking through catalogs,

the more you spend.

The more you watch television & commercials,

the more you spend.

The more shopping you do,

the more you spend.

These are only 4 areas the are keys to spending too much that most people don’t usually think about.

We already know the basics:

  • don’t shop on an empty stomach.
  • don’t eat out more than once a week.
  • don’t shop without a list & strictly use that list only.
  • only go to the store when you have a large enough list & not every other day or weekly.
  • leave your children home or with a sitter or family member.
  • pick store brands instead of the top brands.
  • do not cut back on your pets food, cut back on your own food.
  • buy what you need, not what you want.

I could quite honestly give you 35 more thoughts of things to think about.

However, I truly think you know them & know better than what you’re already doing now.

Use common sense & remember YOU are the ONLY one that can CONTROL what you spend.  It’s all on you.

“If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way.  If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse”….

See you tomorrow…
