What kind of Imagination, do You have?

Not everyone is in the position to go out & buy the latest clothes, toys, furniture, themes that are out there.

I can certainly personally attest going through those days, but you don’t have to.

If there are things you would like to have but can’t, I get that & it’s hard to always have to sacrifice & go without.

But, it’s even harder to have to say no to your kids when you’re going through rough times because they honestly don’t understand.

Maybe not though, you just might NOT have to say no to your kids, IF, you use your imagination.  No this isn’t tease, this is FUN!

“Oh boy, this nut ought to have some wild ideas to dig up!”

Yup, I’m going to dig deep here to help you look like a hero to your kids, but there is a catch, okay I’ll admit there is one thing you have to do for this.  You are gong to have to: have an OPEN MIND.

As much as the commercials & retail industry would like you to believe, the cost of something does not mean it’s the very best toy or item for your kids..

Remember the old story told about Christmas; “yeah, they got all the latest toys & wound up playing with the boxes”…..

Well, there is a lot of truth behind that story.  Why?

The actual “toy” or object/item, is not what is the best thing about having it, it’s the imagination that is in that item that makes it the best!

 F R E E  & CREATIVE FROM YOU, FOR MEMORIES TO LAST FOREVER…..

Here’s example of Free Toys / Items for children:

A pretend post office, stocked with your old ‘junk mail’.

Puppets, made from stray socks piling up in your laundry room.

Tub toys, from empty squeeze bottles.

A cape, made from a beach or bath towel.

A arm sling, made from dish towel.

A pretend grocery store, stocked with empty food packages, (cleaned soup & vegetable cans, cereal boxes, spice bottles….).

Binoculars, made from empty toilet paper tubes, taped together, (add plastic food wrap lenses for a professional look).

A tent, made from couch cushions, sheets & blankets, (don’t forget the flashlight).

Sewing cards, made from cleaned Styrofoam meat trays & old shoelaces.

A house, made from a large empty cardboard box.

The BEST ONE: Imagination, from their own library card with their own name on it.

There are literally hundreds  of free things for kids, but the greatest gift of value you’re giving them, is IMAGINATION.  Their minds will grow, they can’t break it, they can’t lose it & no one can steal it.

Look around where you are, think like a child for a moment & ask yourself:  “What could I do with this to make it fun & build in my imagination?”

Money cannot buy memories, made from your creative imagination.

The way we talk to & give to our children, becomes their inner voice forever”…………

See you tomorrow.

Being shy as a child, I had a lot of imagination. As a mature adult, which of course didn’t happen until after college, they’ve seemed to have risen again & served me well will serving patients & their families over the years. The binoculars; I also tied 2 shoelaces together so I could hang them around my neck! haha Thanks for your visit Erica.
