How to Find the 6 most Important Phrases in a Relationship.

You get along well in your “relationship” don’t you.  In fact, you get along well with “everyone”!

Is that your feeling about how things are going with those you know?  Hmm, let’s take a look.

Getting along with others is really very simple.

You be polite, be positive, & don’t act like a fool.

Well, that’s not exactly what I had in mind if you really want to be a good person & get along with others well.

There are no rules, requirements, or status levels to having a great relationship.

However, there are a few common sense tactics that will take your relationship from okay to wonderful.

The countdown of the 6 most important phrases in a relationship

#6.    “I admit I made a mistake.”

#5.    “You did a good job.”

#4.    “What’s your opinion.”

#3.    “If you would please.”

#2.    “Thank You.”

#1.    “We”.

The least important word:    “I”…

There are 2 of you, 2 emotions, 2 sets of feelings, 2 hearts, 2 preferences, 2 sets of dislikes.

If you’re going to be in a relationship OR friendship, it’s NOT about YOU.  It’s now about BOTH of you.

What’s that word you hear about all the time, oh yeah:  COMPROMISE!

Remember, when you’re in a situation & you just don’t know what to do:  Take the high road, be humble & choose your words carefully.

Try on a few from the list above, they just might fit.

Good advice, Linda. Those are words we do not hear or say often enough. Thanks for the reminder.

You are exactly right Nancy, we don’t ever hear those words enough. Just a little nudge to remind us all. Thank you for reading.
