Be True, to Who You Are …

Honestly, if you were not use to scaling walls, rock climbing or even high elevation hiking, would you do this if your friends said, ‘come on let’s go, it’ll be fun”? Or would you try it to keep up with them?

No you should not, if you are not skilled in these areas you should not, the first thing that would happen is you’ll get hurt.

So why do people just jump in and say, “sure, let’s go I’ve never tried that before.” First of all, if you want to try something new, that is perfectly fine, IF you get the proper instruction by someone who is already Trained in that area and not by someone who has just “tried it” a couple times.

There is a huge difference is learning new things and being trained properly first, verses, being taught by someone who really doesn’t know what to do first. I can’t tell you how many people wind up in a very scarey situation because they, or those with them, never had the proper training first.

Whether it’s a fun activity or a new job role, don’t say yes to something on your own if you haven’t had the proper training. You’ll be in over your head, responsible for something or someone when you shouldn’t be there or involved in the first place.
